Mocchie

Since the beginning of this year, a rabbit has started to visit my house. It’s white and round. It looks like a “Yukimi Daifuku” - the Japanese favorite ice cream wrapped with rice cake, mochi. So I named him “Mocchie”. I think it might be the same rabbit I saw at the front yard often last winter. It might started to feel more comfortable this year. It came very close to the window in the backyard! Every time I see him, he’s napping. Then all of sudden he moves vigorously and started digging the ground looking for food. Nowadays, I feel somewhat worried if he shows up late…

「うさぎのモッチー」

今年に入ってからウサギが毎日遊びに来てくれます。雪見だいふくみたいなのであだ名はモッチー。もしかしたら去年前庭に来ていたウサギと同じかもしれないのだけど、今年は大胆にも庭の窓辺まで近づいてお昼寝。いつ見てもほぼお昼寝。かと思えば勢いよく雪を掘って、何やら食べ物を探し出したり。遊びに来るのが遅いと、ちょっと気になる今日この頃。
