As you wish

サブウェイでの出来事。私の前の男性の注文の番。お店の方が「どのサンドウィッチにしますか？」と尋ねると、彼は「なんでもいいです。」困惑する店員。色々勧められて結局ターキーに。野菜も店員さんのお勧めにうなづくだけ。でもきゅうりにはこだわりがあって、初めはいらなかったけど、最後はやっぱりちょっと欲しい。好きに注文できるお店で「なんでもいい」って言っちゃう彼が少し羨ましい。今度サブウェイで言ってみよっかな？「お任せします」

At Subway, it was a guy in front of me's turn to order. A clerk asked, "What kind of sandwich would you like?" To that, he replied, "Anything is fine." A clerk looked confused and asked him again. Still "Anything is fine." In the end, he chose turkey. He was slightly more particular about vegetables - not wanting cucumber at first, but wanting some in the end. I felt jealous of him who is nonchalant of his right to choose anything he wants at the fast food kingdom of "as you wish". Maybe the next time I visit Subway, I'll say this. "Surprise me."
