Winter driving
I feel relieved when spring comes even though I try my best to enjoy the harsh winter every year thinking there must be a bright side. I don’t have to bundle up myself and the kids and shovel the snow every time we go out for awhile. The scariest thing in winter is definitely driving. I had two scary moments this year. One was when a large school bus hit the front side of my car. The other is when blizzard started while I was driving at 90km/h on Circle Dr. I was surrounded by snow and all I could see was white - front and side. I had no idea where I was. I knew there was a curve coming up to the west, but couldn’t tell when. All I could think of was to follow the dim red taillight of the front car. I had a strong urge to slow down, but if I did, I’d have been left in the whiteness. I tried to keep a good distance while preparing for the sudden stop. Scary!!
